Healthy Frozen Dinner

It’s Friday, and I’m feeling lazy.  Not in the mood to cook, but also not in the mood to throw away healthy habits.

Frozen tyson teriyaki chicken, brown rice, and frozen veggies.  Easy, simple, and guilt-free!  Of course frozen foods aren’t the best, but there are some better options out there.  Skin-less chicken breast, veggies with no added sauces or sugars, and rice/grains with no added sauces. frozendin1

    • Absolutely! You can pre-make and freeze your own chicken in your choice of teriyaki sauce. There are many low sodium teriyaki sauce and other various marinades that you can choose from when grocery shopping. In a plastic zip-lock bag, place a chicken breast and about 1/2 C – 1 C of your choice of sauce. Refrigerate for 6-12 hours, and cook it up! Of course you can freeze it too, just be careful to prevent freezer burn by using freezer safe baggies or wrapping.
